I recently sent an email to each Hyundai Dealer in the Central Florida area to find out which dealer provided the best price, fastest response time, and was the most honest in their response.
I requested information on a mid level Hyundai Elantra, for 16k MSRP and offered 10k as a low ball offer.
The response was varied, with some dealers not responding at all other then the Autoresponders. Rather then focus on dealers which may waste your time, I would like to point out the top two dealers that provided the fastest quotes, best deal and were forthright in their responses (no smoke and mirrors).
Fastest Hyundai Responders:
1. Cocoa Hyundai of Melbourne and Orlando: Response Time: 7 Minutes
2. Coastal Hyundai: Response Time: 21 Minutes
Best Hyundai Deal:
1. Cocoa Hyundai of Melbourne and Orlando: $3221 off MSRP
2. Universal Hyundai: $2960 off MSRP
Most Honest Hyundai Dealer:
Tied:
Cocoa Hyundai of Melbourne and Orlando & Universal Hyundai
Both provided up front pricing and did not attempt to use smoke or mirror tactics in the presentation of numbers. Both when asked provided a step by step detail of the price and a corresponding breakdown "out the door". Other dealers insisted on number play, or were slow to respond and insistant on phone conversation.
